Cleanup cost estimator
Answer four questions for a rough range. Real prices require an on-site assessment.
How this figure is produced
It starts from a broad industry range for the type of job, then adds for the things that genuinely increase the work: absorbent flooring, time before discovery, and the number of rooms involved. Each factor adds its own share rather than multiplying the others, and the result is capped at the top of the range this site publishes for that type of job.
What it is not
- It is not a quote. Nobody can price this work without seeing the property.
- It does not include restoration. Removing contaminated flooring is cleanup; replacing it afterwards is usually a separate job with a separate price.
- It does not know about your building — access, stairs, a service lift or a landlord can change the cost more than the square footage does.
- It is not sourced. The underlying ranges are broad industry figures, not a survey we have run, and our editorial policy says so.
The one number that matters is a written scope and price after an on-site assessment. Any company worth hiring will give you one before it starts billable work.
